I will always be grateful for the passerby that heard the faint whimpering from behind the dumpster. I’m so grateful they stopped to check when they could have kept walking.

It was four puppies, barely 6-weeks-old and in very rough shape, with various injuries. They were rushed to a vet and then surrendered to rescue and placed in a loving foster home.

FEED SHELTER PETS THIS HOLIDAY SEASON

One little black brindled pup needed to stay at the vet a little longer. Diagnosed with parvo, he needed a lot of extra care. He also had a broken tail.

A month later, this wonderful puppy was in my home and quickly took over my heart. Together, along with the rest of my pack, we train, play, and go for long walks in the woods. Other than a slightly crooked tail, there is no evidence of the horrible start to his life.

Camo is loved and well cared for, with the most loving temperament. I won’t get into his often bratty behavior, but his high spirits are proof of his confidence and resiliency! It’s just beyond my comprehension how someone could throw a puppy in a dumpster like trash. I’m just so grateful for the people who recognized the treasure in him. I know I do!
