Have you ever seen an animal rescued, nursed back to health, rehabilitated, all on social media, and then never see or hear from them after the adoption? You just hope and pray that they are safe.
That’s what makes Champ so unique. When I was chosen to adopt him, I was asked if we could start a Facebook page for him so we could give periodic updates to the people who supported him.
This seemed like a simple request, but, little did I know, it would turn into a 7,600-member juggernaut!
Champ's followers named themselves "CHAMPions". There have been promotions such as hats, t-shirts, coffee mugs, bracelets, Christmas ornaments, coloring books, police K9 vests, not to mention big ticket items like sponsorship or adoption and spay neuter monthly events, and sponsorship of canine/feline apartments in the new animal sanctuary being built right now (along with the photo studio).
His “Fight like Champ” slogan has made him one of the most unique rescues in the history of Stray Rescue. I am very proud of what his unique group has accomplished and proud to be a part of his legacy.
