In October, I lost my best friend to cancer. Her sister ended up fostering a bunch of kittens for our shelter because they were overflowing.

Once I saw his perfect little orange face, there was no way I could say no. I really wish my friend could see how happy we are together, and she would’ve been so proud of us for adopting.

I like to think that she is in heaven, watching over us smiling. Finch has brought so much joy in our lives.

He sleeps with us every night. He might be the happiest cat I’ve ever met. He really helped me get through one of the hardest times of my life and every time I look at him, I think of her and smile. He has brought such a new life to our house.

His full name is Catticus Finch after my favorite literary character. He loves playing in the bathtub when it has no water in it. He pretty much runs the whole house and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
