One afternoon in late November 2025, we saw someone we know from being homeless ourselves. She had two kittens that were approximately 6 weeks old. She had given two of the four away earlier that day. She was homeless again and couldn't go in the shelter with them.

I wanted the girl kitten, but my husband said to bring them both so they didn't freeze.

She gave us the food and carrier for them. She just keeped thanking us.
