Meet Gypsy.

She was rescued from a horrendous animal market where animals are caged in extreme temperatures and sold to the highest bidder. Gypsy was purchased by an animal shelter to save her from wasting away in the heat. She had suffered a tragic eye injury that had somehow healed without veterinary care, but it left her 90% blind in that eye.

But that didn’t slow her down one bit.

When I adopted her from the shelter, she made herself at home right away. She was lovable, incredibly sweet, and eager to please. She learned dog agility very quickly and earned many ribbons and bars. She also loves to hike, camp, and kayak with her family.

After seven years of monitoring and treating her injured eye, we had to have it removed a year ago. She handled the surgery and recovery like a champion. Although I no longer put her on agility equipment, she is proving to be quite an expert in Rally Obedience.

She continues to be extremely eager to please, regardless of the adversity that has come her way. She is truly inspirational.
