Helen is a French bulldog with loads of spice. She is deaf and only has one eye.
Because she is a rescue, we do not know if she was born with an eye that became damaged, or if it was just an eye socket, because all of the muscles are there.
Her start in life was a rough one, being dumped on the side of the road in West Virginia. She made her way to Speranza Animal Rescue because of her spicy attitude and medical problems.
She has found her way into my heart and the hearts of many as an ambassador for all rescued animals. Helen attends events in an effort to teach everyone you do not have to be perfect to be included in anything you want to do. She loves everyone she meets and is learning some sign language to communicate.
Her sight and her hearing may be slightly impaired, but that doesn't stop this girl. She is now loving the rescued life and runs and plays in her very own fenced in yard.
