I have three rescued cats, but this is the story of the most recent rescue to join our family. Michi was an abandoned cat living on my condo property. I first heard about him in September 2024, but I didn’t actually see him until a few months later. I began leaving food for him and built a small shelter.

Michi survived Hurricanes Helene and Milton outside, completely alone. Our maintenance man and I fed him for the next eight months while I slowly earned his trust — which was not easy. Finally, in May 2025, he followed me home.

He is FIV positive but now lives indoors with his kitty siblings, cozy, warm, and safe. He has become a true cuddle buddy and quite the charmer.
