My mother and I had a Persian cat for 18 years we loved her so, but she got sick and we had to put her to sleep. I looked on the adoption site every day waiting to see a cat that I was drawn to then I noticed this black cat looking scared, lonely but so sweet sitting by her litter box.
I couldn't stop thinking about her and this picture so I went to the adoption center to see if I could find her. I saw women and children petting and holding cats and getting ready to take them home. I looked in the cage and saw this sweet black cat looking at me saying take me home with her eyes.

They told me she was dumped with her baby kittens and found in a barn and she was caring for them and herself the best way she could. I realized this was the cat that I could not get my mind off of.
I took her out of the cage and she clung to me. I walked her around the room so all the others could see her. She looked back at them like she was saying, " look at me someone is holding me and might take me home to love me."

The lady at the adoption center took me to a special room to bond with her. I let her down in the room and she then jumped on my lap and I could feel her saying again...take me home.
That day I took her home and named her Coco Chanel. She sleeps with me and she sets on my mother's lap and mine. We have a bond that we have never had with a cat. We cannot imagine our life without our Coco Chanel.
To this day I believe that she was meant for my mother and I. I was drawn to her for a reason to give her a home and the love that she needed so badly. Please adopt a black cat. They are so special!
