A recent and special rescue story from Alley Cat Rescue:

Roo is a true fighter. This sweet girl came to Alley Cat Rescue in terrible condition after being trapped inside a car engine while the vehicle was in use. One of her front legs was so badly mangled that it could not be saved. Her other front leg was broken in three places and required surgery with pins. On top of that, her back foot was also fractured.

Even while recovering from surgery and wearing a large cast on her remaining front leg, Roo showed an incredible will to heal and thrive. She tried her best to stay mobile, no matter how hard her foster attempted to keep her resting.

At first, after the cast came off, she did not use her front paw and her leg does not bend. But with physical therapy and the devotion of her foster family, Roo learned to put weight on her paw and move around just fine.

Today, she is happy, playful, and truly an inspiration.
