I run an animal sanctuary on my 35-acre ranch in Texas, Shadow to Shelter. I currently care for 30 rescue dogs, including 13 six-week-old puppies I found abandoned beside a road near a garbage dump.

I’m a single guy, and I care for the animals by myself. My Facebook page has many stories about the sanctuary and the rescued dogs, cats, and chickens who live here permanently.

The puppies are doing great. They have gained about 20% of their body weight in only a week.

They are running around and playing, which makes taking care of them even more difficult, but all the time, money, and effort is worth it because I know they will have good lives now.

It's amazing how far they've come in only a week.
