This precious girl was part of a TNR roundup, dumped back in the neighborhood were she was collected.

She had lost all trust in humans and was seeking refuge in the shrubs in my front yard. I put out food and water for her on the porch, but she would not approach if she could see me.

Fall was upon us and she needed shelter. I put an old basket with a blanket on the porch. After a few months, she would cautiously allow me to sit on the porch with her.

Soon I was allowed to groom her. When weather allowed, I would leave the front door open so she could come in and explore. After about six months of taking quick trips inside, then back out, she decided it was safe, and became part of the household. My other two senior cats welcomed her.

She has been with me for a year now and is such a joy. We do need to work on socializing her, as she will hide when anyone comes to visit. The TNR was obviously very traumatic for her, though necessary. She has been named Molly, and I can't imagine life without her.
