I lost my Rori at 16 years old. She was a Havanese who was already 8 when I rescued her. I applied to adopt a couple of different dogs, but did not get either of them, so I said I was just going to let the universe bring me a new dog or not.

A work colleague had a friend who was fostering a Maltese named Wooju that had been rescued from a puppy mill in Korea. She asked if I wanted to meet him, which I did. We bonded immediately.

I found out that Wooju means Universe in Korean, so the universe brought me a dog named Universe! I have always believed that things happen for a reason.
