Doorbell Captures The Moment Hero Neighbors Save Man Having A Heart Attack
More and more videos are coming out of ring doorbells, and some of them really can take us by surprise. We have seen videos of people breaking into homes, cats that wanted inside, and people that were doing kind deeds.
In this video, however, a 53-year-old man was coming to the door for a most unusual reason. Chris Favorin had just finished a difficult workout and he had a hard time catching his breath. That is when he realized that he was not just tired, he was having a heart attack.
According to Inside Edition, Favorin was suffering from shortness of breath, severe chest pains, cold sweats, and he had a difficult time getting himself to his neighbor's porch. He rang the doorbell and suddenly bent over because of the pain.
You can see him doing it in the video but his fiancée, Beth, was coming up behind him. This seems somewhat random, but it seems as if they chose the right house for a reason. The people that lived inside, Christopher and Rachel, knew what they were doing.
Christopher works as a firefighter/EMT and Rachel is a nurse practitioner. As soon as they saw their neighbor on their front porch, they sprung into action.
Chris began performing CPR and Rachel called 911. Bethe didn't know what to do but she was sure thankful that they had chosen the house to go to. You see, she was just about to get married to her fiancé, but now that looked like it was fading fast.
According to Inside Edition, Chris shared that they just started doing what they should do. They didn't realize the severity of it but he was having a heart attack that involved the widow maker. That is a blood clot that originates in the left anterior descending artery, which feeds the heart. They call it a "widow maker" for reason.
CPR was performed on Chris for 14 minutes and eventually, he had a pulse. Suddenly, he lost the pulse again but they got it back two minutes later.
In the end, they were able to save him and the wedding went forward. You better believe that Christopher and Rachel were invited to the wedding and they even got a front-row seat.
