Long-Stay Shelter Dog Learns Impressive Tricks To Attract Adopters
An intelligent and pretty pup named Sol has been patiently waiting at Animal Care Centers of NYC in Staten Island since January for a family to adopt her.
She watches with her piercing blue eyes as people walk by and she doesn't understand why no one stops to meet her.
Sol is an energetic gal who needs an active partner who will show her the world. She is a fast learner and excels at mental challenges.
The shelter staff worked with sweet Sol to show off her talents by teaching her tricks. She can do all the basics as well as weave through poles, get in a kiddie pool and wait for cue to exit, and jump through a hula hoop.
Sol recently performed ten impressive tricks and earned a certificate naming her a "Novice Trick Dog". The shelter rewarded her hard work with a "pawty" and shared a video of the celebration on TikTok in hopes of catching the eye of an adopter.

Sol is not only smart, but she is absolutely adorable. Her caretakers state that, "She is the definition of Beauty and Brains."
The young dog is still learning to share her belongings and attention and would love to be an only pet. Learn how you can adopt Sol here. She is sure to brighten up anyone's day.
