Cat Rescued From Hoarder Loves Life With Her New Mom

Animal hoarding is heartbreaking for everyone involved. The animals are almost always neglected and living in hazardous situations. Thankfully, we sometimes see animals come out of hoarding situations who go on to live full and happy lives, like Sawyer the pig and a dog named Badger.

We can now add a cat named Nonna to that list!

According to GeoBeats Animals, Nonna came from a mass hoarding situation. She was one of around 30 cats living in a house in Louisiana.

When a woman from Connecticut heard about Nonna and saw her pictures from a rescue group, she knew the cat was the right fit for her family.

Nonna was very shy at first, but she slowly started to open up. She warmed up to her parents at first, but she was especially eager to befriend the family's other rescue cat, Stevie.

Stevie wasn't thrilled with Nonna's presence in the house, but Nonna followed her around and copied her anyway.

Nonna's adoptive mom described her as being "so unique" and said she didn't meow properly. Her meows sounded like she was saying, "hello!" How cute.

Nonna and Stevie are a handful, but their mama wouldn't have it any other way.

As she said, she has a soft spot for her rescue cats.
