There are certain areas where stray dogs tend to congregate more than others. This includes one area in Texas, where stray dogs are often found.

According to The Dodo, a local resident, Kristin Erwin, said that the county doesn't have a leash law or an animal control law. As a result, dogs are often left to run loose and strays are common.

That is where Hoss comes in. He is a giant stray mastiff that was staring at Kristin through the office door. When she looked over and started taking a video, the dog began to wag his tail.

She realized that Hoss needed to find his home so she went out on social media and various lost and found pages to try to find his family. Unfortunately, nobody stepped forward to claim him.

That is when he came back the next day to the office door again. He had been sleeping under one of their work trailers and was happy to see some humans around.

Kristin shared with The Dodo that she had been looking for fosters and the weekend was almost upon them, so she knew they had to take things to the next level. She and her husband brought the dog into their home and decided to foster him on their own.

When she brought him in, she knew that he had never been in a house before. He was fearful of walking on the floors and they were also concerned about how he would react to their other dogs.

They kept the dogs apart for a week, but then they started playing together. It wasn't long before Hoss was learning the ins and outs of becoming a house dog.

The first thing he found was the couch and that was absolute heaven for him. A little later, he found the bed and it was game over.

A bull mastiff rescue in New Jersey eventually got involved and within a month, they found him a forever home. Hoss is now known as Bunker, and he is bringing a lot of joy into his new family's life.
