Nearly Lifeless Puppy Found Tied To A Bus Stop Finally Gets The Strength To Walk

It's hard to fathom that anyone could harm an innocent puppy, but it's a sad reality that many dogs face.

When rescuers with the Stray Rescue of St. Louis heard about a severely neglected puppy who'd been tied to a bus stop, they immediately sprung into action.

They shared on Facebook that a Good Samaritan saw the puppy and immediately called the rescue. They said, "This tiny, near lifeless dog, caked in urine was found tied up to a bus stop. A gentleman was running late for work and missed the bus. But he saw this dog. She couldn't stand or walk, she was so thin and had no muscle. He was completely shocked."

"He jumped into action, untied her, and carried her all the way home. He ran inside and called us because he didn't know what to do. All he knew was he had to get this tiny angel help. We went to get her immediately. Updates to come, we named her She-Ra," they added.

They were able to warm her up and offer her some food, which she "gobbled up."

The rescue posted photos of her on Facebook, with the caption: "A few more photos of She-Ra's arrival, we love her so much. We have warmed her body and gave her a couple bites of food that she gobbled up. We live amongst monsters, but She-Ra will never meet one again. You are safe, little baby."

The rescue continued to work with She-Ra and helped her rest and gain strength.

Within a week of care, the sweet puppy was walking!

As time continued to pass, She-Ra gained more strength and it wasn't long before she was outside walking around and enjoying the sunshine.

She's still got a long road to recovery, but eventually, she'll be ready to move on with her life and find a family full of love and joy.
