A Judge Makes a Child’s Dream Come True by Letting Him Adopt Teddy Bears

Six adorable teddy bears, and their names are Mr. Denham, Baby Denham, Brown Bear, Bamboo, Special Teddy Jr., and Tiny. Now all of these teddies are adopted family members of a seven-year-old child who is going through the adoption process himself.

Yes, the adoption is officially approved by a family court in Western Australia, which warmly responded to the child’s request to adopt his teddy bears.

Earlier, this child made an appeal to the family court to adopt his favorite stuffed animals. The family court’s endearing response to the child’s letter astonished him and his loved ones. His uncle, Dr. Stephen Bright, feels so overwhelmed by the gesture that he posted the court order on social media. It reads:

“In the matter of Mr. Denham, Baby Denham, Brown Bear, Bamboo, Special Teddy Jr., and Tiny

“Before a Teddy in chambers.

“Application having been made under the International Teddy Act 1908 for an adoption order in relation to a hug of teddies known as Mr. Denham, Baby Denham, Brown Bear, Bamboo, Special Teddy Jr., and Tiny who reside in ... Western Australia.

“It is ordered that the said Mr. Denham, Baby Denham, Brown Bear, Bamboo, Special Teddy Jr., and Tiny be adopted by [the boy] to be treated lovingly as child and teddies.”

The judge’s wisdom has touched the hearts of so many. It restores our faith in humanity to see a busy judge take a few minutes to make a small child's day.

One woman commented on Dr. Bright’s post: “It’s lovely. These warm and kind actions show humanity at its best. We need this in our lives.”

Another wrote: “Something that may seem trivial means the world to your nephew. It's wonderful to see, it truly is.”

This commenter could not hold back her emotion: “This made my eyes fill with happy tears. Please print and mail a copy to the judge's chambers so they know how many lives they touched with the sweet gesture ❤”

Dr. Bright tweeted once more: “I don't usually post personal stuff on Twitter, though I'm glad I did share this, as it seems to have touched so many people. It's nice to be able pay it forward ❤❤”
