It's because of that, many companies and individuals have turned to therapy pets to help support people going through difficult times or those just needing a little extra love.

Dinky Ponies, a team of therapy ponies in Swindon, United Kingdom, visit care homes, hospitals, schools, and more!

Recently, they went to a nursing home and gave some love to the residents there.

Dinky Ponies shared a video snippet from the visit with the caption: "A little snippet of pure loveliness from todays visit to OSJCT Paternoster House."

In the video, you can really see the benefit that therapy ponies can have on people. A sweet elderly woman can be seen nuzzling up to the pony and soaking her in. It's so precious!

While many people might think of dogs as being the prime therapy pets, ponies really can do wonders for people, especially those experiencing loneliness or big life changes.
