Family Left Homeless After Earthquake Adopts Dog They Pulled From The Rubble
Oftentimes, we hear stories about people losing their homes and giving up their pets as a result. After all, it's more challenging to find housing with a dog in tow.
However, one family in Turkey did the opposite: They found themselves homeless and decided to welcome a fellow homeless pet into their lives!
According to Inside Edition, Umet was living in the city of Adiyaman, Turkey when it was hit by a devastating earthquake in February. While his home was destroyed, he escaped with his life and his children's lives.
He shared that right after the earthquake, he took his kids for a drive through the ruins of their city and that's when they heard barking.
The bark seemed to be coming from under some rubble, and they quickly got out to investigate. "So they started to dig," Inside Edition shared.
It took half an hour, but they eventually reached a dog! They named the pup Bincir and decided to welcome the canine into their family.
While they're all homeless, they're together at a temporary shelter and safe and that's the most important thing.
