Artist Transforms Old TV Into A Tiny Cat Apartment
It wasn't all that long ago that technology was so different that it is now considered antiquated. You really only need to think back maybe 30 or 40 years and suddenly, you see just how much things have changed.
One of the ways this took place was in the television sets we watch. These days, they are super thin, extra-large, and hanging on the wall. In the 1980s, however, they were big boxes that sometimes sat on the floor.
These days, you would have a difficult time finding one of those old television sets. Even if you do have one, it is likely just gathering dust in the corner because it is all but useless.
Of course, they say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder and Hannah Marx understands how to make something useless a thing of beauty.
She did so by taking a 1982 television and converting it into an apartment for her cat. In that way, she can hang out with the feline, giving him his own space and enjoying the view. Check out her work below:

After hollowing out the TV, she put a comfortable bed inside and hung some artwork for her spoiled feline. It is absolutely cozy and provides a nice spot where her cat can hang out comfortably.
Marx isn't always making use of older items. She actually paints animal portraits using watercolor.
In fact, if you look closely enough, you can see one of her bird paintings inside the TV. You also can see a little fireplace that glows comfortably.
To make the area even more useful, she put some plants on the top. She must have a good cat, because ours won't leave plants alone.
This was something that Marx dreamed up and completed as a DIY project. You can do the same thing for yourself, once you have an old TV set.
Try looking on eBay or Craigslist to see if you can find one of these old TVs. Just be sure you know what you are doing before you take it apart because the diodes can hold onto electricity and the old tubes contain toxins.
After gutting the TV, let your creativity shine. Make a creative space for your cat that he will love and you will enjoy it.
