Injured Ukrainian Cat Survives Bombing That Killed Owner and Finds New Home

Martin is just one of countless animals living in the war zone in Ukraine. He has endured unimaginable loss but is finally safe. Read his story and see how your donations helped him recover.

Martin the cat survived repeated bombings on his village thanks to his devoted owner who made sure that all of her felines were safe.

The woman stayed behind to care for six cats and refused to leave without them. Sadly, she was killed in one of the bombings. 

Rescuers combing the area for survivors rescued her cats, including Martin who sustained an injury from the bomb that killed his mom.

His eye was too damaged to save and was safely removed by medical staff at Patron Pet Center.
