Mystery Of Unidentified Creature Outside Amarillo Zoo Remains Unsolved

Back in June 2022, the city of Amarillo, Texas was left with a mystery after an image of a strange creature was captured outside the Amarillo Zoo.

Authorities took to social media to ask the public for help in identifying the mystery creature, but it seems that mystery remains unsolved.

The City of Amarillo shared the image on Twitter, saying:

"The Amarillo Zoo captured a strange image outside the zoo in the dark and early morning hours of May 21 (around 1:25 a.m.). Is it a person with a strange hat who likes to walk at night? A chupacabra? Do you have any ideas of what this UAO- Unidentified Amarillo Object could be?"

According to a press release, City of Amarillo Director of Parks and Recreation Michael Kashuba said, "We just want to let the Amarillo community have some fun with this. It is important to note that this entity was outside the Amarillo Zoo. There were no signs of attempted entry into the zoo. No animals or individuals were harmed. There were no signs of criminal activity or vandalism."

He added, "It is definitely a strange and interesting image. Maybe Amarillo can help solve the mystery of our UAO."

However, months passed and the mysterious UOA remains unidentified to this day - nearly a year after being photographed. Considering the zoo has previously had Sasquatch on display, one guess is that Sasquatch escaped and was wandering around outside the zoo.

Other guesses included a werewolf or bear, while some speculated the creature was a human dressed as an animal. Someone on Twitter zoomed in on the image so you can get a clearer idea of what it looks like:

People continue to speculate about the creature, dubbed the UAO (Unidentified Amarillo Object), but its true identity remains a mystery.

Do have any guesses on what the UAO might be? Let us know!
