Dog Abandoned For Being "Too Old" Finds A Place To Live Out His Golden Years
Bringing home a puppy is exciting, but that excitement often fades when the puppy grows into an adult dog. It's inevitable, but it's not something every pet parent plans for. Some people just want puppies or young dogs.
For those who are dedicated pet parents, having a puppy grow into a full-grown dog and live out their senior years is a dream. But for others, senior dogs are little more than an annoyance.
Sadly, Victor's owners fell into the latter category. They didn't want the 10-year-old dog, blind in one eye and no longer spry. Thankfully, when Sidewalk Specials in South Africa heard the news that Victor's owner didn't want him anymore, they were there to take him in.
Rescuers moved Victor from his village to the great city of Cape Town and began the process of finding him a nice retirement home to live out his golden years.
Victor was sad at first, unsure of his new surroundings, but it wasn't long before he caught the eye of a family that wanted to have him.
The woman already had one dog who only had one good eye, just like Victor, along with a sweet bunny who loves dogs. She thought the senior one-eyed pooch would fit into her family perfectly, and she was right!
In his new home, Victor has a canine sister to play with, a bunny to visit, and a mom who loves him. What more could a dog ask for?
