Rescuer Adopts 160-Pound Wolf Dog Named Trouble But He Ends Up Being A Giant Teddy Bear
When you are a dog that weighs 160 pounds, you are going to receive some respect. Such was the case for a wolf-dog named Trouble.
Even though Trouble's paws may be the same size as a human hand, his caretaker, Sarah Hanafin insists that Trouble is nothing more than a marshmallow.
According to GeoBeats Animals, Sarah is the operator of a wolf-dog sanctuary named Wolves of Maine. When a wolf was owned by a human and surrendered, she takes it in because they can't go to animal shelters.
Trouble had an owner that passed away and Sarah's sanctuary took him in along with his mother and brother. When he first arrived at the sanctuary, he didn't have a lot of trust in people but if you get inside of his circle, he will be "yours for life."
Sarah is familiar with taking care of wolves. She said that Trouble is the same as all others, by testing the food for other wolves and greeting everyone that stops by.
Sarah also says that befriending a wolf-dog is very rewarding but they also take a lot of work. Many of them end up in her sanctuary because they still have a wild streak.
On Sarah's Instagram account, she talks about how gaining the respect of the residents is more important than becoming the pack leader.
She speaks about showing the wolf dogs compassion and trust. To make sure that they know they are in a safe place and then to bond with them.
She also says that wolves teach us that all of us want to belong to a world where we are understood. They teach us that it is important to be kind and compassionate in order to stay strong and powerful.

I love to write and it keeps me busy. I've been working online, full time since 1999. When you can't find me at the keyboard, you'll find me getting as much as I can out of life. I enjoy living simply, playing games, visiting the beach, and spending time with my family.
