Meet Zeus, The World's Tallest Dog
When you adopt a little dog, you never quite know what you are going to end up with. Then again, if you adopt a Great Dane, you should at least be aware that you will get something supersized.
Brittney Davis, a teacher in Fort Worth, Texas, wanted to adopt a dog. Her brother was a breeder of Great Danes, so it didn't take long before she decided to get one for herself.
With plenty of puppies to choose from, she decided on one named Zeus. When she brought him home, it was love at first sight for the entire family.
According to the Guinness World Records, they knew that Zeus was going to be a big dog, but they had no idea he was going to be a record-setter. Once he hit a couple of years old, however, he ended up in the Guinness World Records as the world's tallest dog.
When Zeus stands up on his hind legs, he is 7 feet tall. Although he is an enormous dog as far as his size is concerned, he really is a puppy at heart.
According to Guinness World Records, Davis, his human mom, says he is completely laid-back and relaxed. He also fits in well with the Australian shepherds in the family, but those three dogs have a lot more energy than their supersized brother.
Most of the time, you will find Zeus relaxing and lying around. If you talk him into it, however, he will still show a lot of energy and run around outdoors, but he typically only runs about 10 minutes before needing a break.
The biggest issue comes when they have Zeus out on the street. According to Today, his mother said: "Either people are super excited and they want to come over and take all the pictures and meet him, or they're superscared and they go to the other side of the street and look at him from very far away."
Some people will even ask if they can put a saddle on Zeus and ride him, but his mother quickly lets them know that he's not a horse. Zeus would not enjoy being ridden, so she always answers no.
Once people get to know Zeus, they fall in love with him. They also say that he brings much joy to the family, and he even has his own Instagram account.

I love to write and it keeps me busy. I've been working online, full time since 1999. When you can't find me at the keyboard, you'll find me getting as much as I can out of life. I enjoy living simply, playing games, visiting the beach, and spending time with my family.
