FREE Woman Boilerplate — DO NOT DELETE
FREE Woman is a project generating income for women in the Ng'ombe community in Zambia through copper jewelry-making. Their goal is to add value to Zambia's copper through manufacturing. Too often African nations are stripped of their natural resources with no value addition taking place before export. The result is that the country gets little benefit from its natural resources.
Their jewelry is made from recycled copper hot water heaters and from electrical wire. The purchase of FREE Woman jewelry paves the way to scale up and employ more women, thus multiplying the impact of the project, as each woman who earns an income can support her extended family.
