Lula Mena Boilerplate — DO NOT DELETE
Lula Mena focuses her work on empowering women in at risk rural communities in El Salvador by providing them with a steady job. As a result, these women have become the main providers in their home, giving them the ability to send their kids to school. These kids are the first generation in their families to get a high school education. With all of this, important social changes are being made.
Every Lula Mena design is perfectly handmade by one of the 9 Salvadoran communities that work with her. Among these are: communities of women, artisans and communities at high social risk. By designing some of her product lines using traditional techniques, Lula tries to contribute to the preservation of these amazing techniques and at the same time, provide steady jobs to high risk communities in rural areas of El Salvador.
