NOVICA Artisan Kittiwan
Kittiwan
Hi! My name is Kittiwan Karaphap. You can call me Jeab. I'm the eldest daughter in my family from Bangkok. My family has a jewelry business ranging from diamonds to jade carving, so I have been familiar with this business for a long time and have gradually come to love it. Now, I'm the only one among four siblings who continues to carry on their passion for jewelry.
After graduating with a Bachelor's in accounting in Bangkok, I ran my own jewelry shop in a big department store in the city center for about four or five years. But, renting was too expensive. That's when I met my now ex-boyfriend and moved to Lumphun Province to start a new life.
"My ex and I loved farming. We could make our own local products, such as fruit jam, dried bananas, and mulberry tea. Unfortunately, after we broke up, I couldn't farm on my own, so I had to find something new that I could do by myself. The answer was crafting.
"I started seriously learning how to create jewelry from gemstones and braided cord from the internet and I really enjoyed it. It took about four years to reach the professional level. My very first piece was a braided polyester cord necklace. Since then, I started selling online.
"I've been selling my pieces online as a solo artisan for about seven years. My inspiration comes from practice, as well as many things on the internet. I use my experience in the gemstone business to select interesting gems to use in my pieces.
"I dream of opening a small shop in Chiang Mai and increasing my business with you to bring my designs to the international level. I hope that my products will touch your heart. Thank you."
