    Artisan Information

    Founded in 2001 in Bolivia, Jalsu Uma focuses on training women in the production of accessories made from alpaca wool. Started by five women, the cooperative now includes more than 20 who are trained in techniques such as hand looming, weaving, and crocheting. Artisans have the option to work from home to care for their children and meet weekly for production matters. Jalsu Uma strives for expansion, providing more women with the opportunity to financially support themselves and their families, innovating new designs, and becoming a leader in Bolivian handicrafts.

    These are so comfortable and warm. Exactly what I was looking for! My hands are always cold but I don’t like wearing full gloves so this is perfect. I wear these during the day while working from home and they’re easy to type with or write with so it makes it an ideal choice! They’re also the perfect length.

    Perfect for chilly days

    We recently moved to South Carolina to escape the cold and snow and wouldn't you know, it was freezing here and we got 4 inches of snow! My husky loves that weather and wants to be outside all of the time so I needed gloves that were warm but not super heavy. These are perfect and I love that they help worthy causes.

    I absolutely love my rainbow fingerless mittens. They get softer and softer with time and are so cozy while still letting me use my hands. They get compliments nearly every time I wear them. They're so good, in fact, that my daughter stole my pair and I had to get us another set this year. lol Well made and they hold up beautifully.
