Casper was found alone as a stray, severely injured and in desperate need of help. He was taken to an overcrowded shelter, where his devastating injuries placed him on the euthanasia list simply because there was nowhere else for him to go. No one came looking for him. No one claimed him. But just when Casper's future looked unbearably bleak, a rescue stepped in and refused to let his story end there.
He was rushed to a veterinary clinic, where X-rays revealed the heartbreaking extent of his injuries: multiple fractures throughout his pelvis and dislocated hips. Veterinarians believe Casper was struck by a vehicle, leaving him unable to move normally and facing an uncertain future.
Now, Casper needs urgent surgery. Without it, he may never walk or run normally again—and could face a lifetime of chronic pain and limited mobility. After everything he has already endured, Casper deserves the chance to stand on his own four paws again.
