Junie was found unresponsive and in critical condition after she being abandoned in a field. The poor puppy came into the shelter emaciated, with infected wounds and acid burns from the color dye spread across her fur coat. She was terrified and frail, barely hanging onto her life.
Junie was transported to the hospital for immediate care and given fluids and medication to ease her discomfort. Junie will need to rehabilitate with fluid therapy, antibiotics and a nourishing diet. She remains resilient and full of love despite what she's endured as a puppy.

Junie’s story brought back long ago memories of our family poodle Peanuts. He was found laying by a curb with a huge section of hair missing on his backside covered with a scab. My sister took him home but pets were not allowed at her apartment . So my mom took him in even though we all ready had a cockapoo named Toby. The dogs became great friends. They used to sit side by side on our recliner and slept next to each other. It took a little longer for Peanuts to be comfortable with our big family. But with patience we all became one big happy family.
I am so happy that Junie was funded and that she is being watched over and healed. All pets deserve a second chance of being taken care of and loved. No pet or animal should be abused.
The photo of the poodle mix Junie emaciated and burned with chemicals by an evil person brought me to tears. I immediately donated $25 to help with medical expenses and recovery care. I was so happy to see that Junie's cases has been fully funded. No pet should have to be subjected to abuse, neglect, or cruelty. Support The Animal Rescue Site's pet medical care and recovery.
