Help Save the Red Panda

66,000 daily clicks funded this project on September 17 2018 – thank you!

In native Red Panda habitat, which includes Bhutan, China, India, Myanmar, and Nepal, human population is rapidly growing and expanding. As people take over more land to build houses and roads, collect firewood, and graze their cattle, these adorable creatures are pushed out of their habitat. More roads make it easier for poachers to steal Red Pandas to sell to China — whose people like Red Pandas for their meat, traditional medicinal uses, and skins — and for others who want a “cute” Red Panda as a pet. Please click today to help us protect this vulnerable species.

Fund 110 Miles of a Lion’s Journey to a Better Life

44,000 daily clicks funded this project on August 24 2018 – thank you!

Animals have suffered for decades in traveling circuses in Guatemala. After the extent of this suffering was exposed, thankfully the country banned the use of animals in circuses. However, an unintended consequence of this ban is that many of the animals—including these five lions—are languishing in small, rusting circus cages, waiting to be rescued. These animals need food, veterinary care, a new home to live out their lives, and safe transportation to that new home. Please click today to help fund 110 miles of the journey for one of these lions.

Transport Shelter Cats to Safety with Jackson Galaxy

66,000 daily clicks funded this project on August 20 2018 – thank you!

Each year, 6-8 million dogs and cats enter the shelter system, and about half never make it out. At least part of the problem comes from the fact that many shelters in the southern U.S. have too many pets for their town’s population. In the summer months, during kitten and puppy season, the overpopulation problem becomes even worse. However, there are shelters across the U.S. who have waiting lists for pets and could successfully adopt out hundreds more. The solution? Bring pets from overcrowded shelters to locations where they can find their forever homes. Please click today to join GreaterGood.org’s The Jackson Galaxy Project and The Animal Rescue Site as we work to transport shelter cats to safety nationwide.

Help Shelter Dogs Escape the Heat

45,000 daily clicks funded this project on August 3 2018 – thank you!

Currently, the Rescate Fenix shelter in Sonora, Mexico has to keep their rescued dogs outside. There is no paved or shaded area, so the dogs must either sit or lay on dirt ground, with neither sun nor rain protection. Summer temperatures can reach 115 degrees, and during the rainy season, mud and wetness increase skin problems and medical issues in a cycle of misery. To protect these poor dogs from extreme weather, to allow their skin ailments to heal, and to provide both desperately needed comfort and enrichment, Rescate Fenix is hoping to construct Salas, shade structures elevated from the ground. Please click today to help build these structures, and give better lives to these dogs!

Help Homeless Americans and Their Pets

44,000 daily clicks funded this project on July 27 2018 – thank you!

According to the National Coalition on Homelessness, an estimated 300,000 homeless Americans have pets, many of them veterans. Unfortunately, a large majority of homeless shelters do not allow pets on their property. So homeless pet owners are faced with an unimaginable decision each night—either stay with their pet outside and brave the elements for the night, or check into the shelter and leave their pet behind. By retrofitting homeless shelters to accept pets, we can ensure more people get the help they need, and that more pets are saved in the process. Please Click Today to get people and pets off the streets and into a safe and warm environment.

Provide a Child with Diabetic Test Strips for Two Years

38,400 daily clicks funded this project on July 25 2018 – thank you!

One of the most challenging aspects to Diabetes care in developing countries is access to and cost of Diabetes supplies. This is particularly true in the case of monitoring blood glucose, where self-testing is best conducted several times per day. Blood glucose meters, test strips and lancets are often an unaffordable expense for families living on or below the poverty line. The Life for a Child Program (LFAC) assists disadvantaged children and adolescents with Type 1 Diabetes in developing countries, providing insulin, Diabetes supplies and support. Please click today to help a child in need of these critical supplies!
