Looking Back on 2025 - Lives Changed and Lives Remembered
Andrea Powell
As 2025 comes to an end, we wanted to take a look back over the year and share how your support has changed lives.
GreaterGood CEO and Co-founder, Tim Kunin, shares some of the highlights he has personally witnessed from this year and our goals for next year.
We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your continued support that is helping people and pets near and far. Together, we CAN change the world.

As we close 2025, I find myself reflecting on what we’ve accomplished together and the impact of your donations and shopping that I’ve been able to witness firsthand. This year, I traveled to some of the communities your support reaches most directly, listening to stories from artisans, refugees, rescue workers, and climate activists, and I have witnessed how dignity, opportunity, and long-term partnership can truly change lives.

Much of our charitable impact, generated by your shopping, clicks, and direct donations, funded support for critical programs across the United States. This work with Greater Good Charities includes disaster relief, support for veterans and others experiencing homelessness, as well as food, transport, and medical care for underfunded animal rescues that often lack consistent resources.

This year also marked the beginning of a new partnership with the Ukraine War Animal Rescue Fund (UWARF), built on the same model of long-term impact. With UWARF, I attended a global rabies conference where I saw collaboration to address urgent public health and animal welfare needs. While there, Krystina Drahomaretska of Under the Sun shelter, a UWARF-supported organization, was recognized with an international award for her leadership in rabies elimination, reflecting her extraordinary heroism and dedication to animals.

A month later, while in Ukraine with Krystina, I visited her shelter in Podilsk. Meeting her team, walking the grounds, and witnessing the care given to hundreds of animals abandoned and injured by war made our partnership tangible in a profound way. I accompanied Krystina to deliver 20 animals rescued from the frontlines to loving new homes. It underscored the urgent needs facing both pets and people in Ukraine, which we are committed to supporting in 2026 and beyond.

This year I also visited the Mae Tao Clinic on the Thai/Myanmar border where we have collectively funded a birthing clinic since 2010 and made my first visit to an artisan group of 350 women refugees fleeing gender-based violence in northwest Kenya. Our purchases have literally saved the lives of both mothers and their children. We provide opportunities to women in very remote areas, enabling them to pay school fees for their children and reduce intergenerational poverty.

I am fortunate to meet so many people who are making a lasting difference in their communities across Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas. Unfortunately, last week we lost Dan Fine, founder of UWARF and producer of War Tails, to pancreatic cancer. Dan lived with purpose, humility, humor, and deep compassion. We mourn Dan but are inspired by his passion to help animals. I believe the need to help people, pets, and the planet will increase in 2026. We are committed to maximizing our impact and exceeding our long-term goal of giving over $100 million to charitable causes. The generosity, resolve, and care shown by our supporters is amazing. None of this is possible without you. It is an honor to do this together.
