Adoptable Maitake Is Tired of Sitting on the Sidelines of Forever Love

Adoptable Maitake Is Tired of Sitting on the Sidelines of Forever Love

Meet Maitake, a sweet 1-year-old girl searching for forever love in a stable environment filled with toys, treats, comfy viewing spots, and human love.

This beautiful little "house panther" is very sweet, energetic, and curious. Her personality is a mixture of calm and chaotic (in the best way possible, of course). She can be sleepy and cuddly one moment and then ready to play the next.

She loves playtime with toys of many different kinds, especially her little stuffed mouse (always a favorite among felines!). If you throw it across the room, she will chase after it. This game of fetch and any interactive toys during dedicated play sessions really help burn up her teenage energy!

Besides playing, Maitake also adores affection in the form of pets and cuddling, particularly when you're sitting down. She enjoys a good nap, too, in a cozy place — but who doesn't? Once she's awake, she will come to find you for her pets! It takes her about a week to adjust, understandably, to a new environment. But once she is comfortable where she's at and feels safe, she's incredibly sweet and loving!

Maitake would probably benefit from a forever home with a kitty playmate her age, respectful kids to entertain her, or someone to give her the dedicated playtime she needs right now. As a bonus, she can adapt to dogs with proper introductions, so that's a plus.

Maitake is spayed, current on vaccines, dewormed, microchipped, and tested negative for FIV/FeLV. She is also house-trained, has no special needs, and is obviously ok with kids. If this sweet girl could be the purrfect addition to your family, please fill out an adoption application on the Southern Arizona Cat Rescue website.

If you have further questions about this lovable young furball before proceeding to the adoption application phase, you can reach out to them at (520) 200-1643 or by emailing adoption@sacatrescue.org. They will be happy to answer any queries you may have to ensure you're a good fit for one another.
