Timid Border Collie Overcomes Fear Of Kittens To Become The Best Foster Mom
There has always been a disconnect between cats and dogs. Part of it may be a reality, but the other part is something that exists in our minds.
Sometimes we see the disconnect in our own lives when we have both cats and dogs under the same roof. That was the case with Phoebe, a border collie who didn't enjoy living with cats. In fact, he had a fear of cats.
According to The Dodo, things changed for Phoebe, however, when two sets of kittens got involved. This concerned the human mom, Aki Yamaguchi, but it wasn't long before her fears were turned into something else.
When Yamaguchi introduced the kittens to Phoebe, she did so in a very slow manner.
She knew that there was a lot of fear there, and she didn't want the excitement of the border collie to cause injury to the little ones.
She told The Dodo that he wanted to foster a kitten, although she wasn't planning on one that young. She wanted to do so for Phoebe because she was afraid of cats, and she works with cats as a photographer, so it made life difficult for her.
Her reason for bringing the kittens into the home was to help his dog but she admits that they come with other benefits. For one, she's helping the kittens, and she gets to socialize them, making it amazing until they can get adopted.
Little did she realize that Phoebe would do more than warm up to the pair, she would fall in love with them.
