Over 130 Cats & Dogs Flown Out of Overcrowded LA Shelters to Freedom
Andrea Powell
Thanks to your generous donations and the hard work of countless people, 103 cats and 29 dogs at overcrowded shelters in California will get the second chance they deserve.
The animals of all ages and sizes were carefully loaded onto the Flight to Freedom on June 25 and flown to animal shelters in Oregon and Washington to find loving homes.

Many of these animals were at risk due to lack of space, resources, and adopters. Your donations made this life-saving flight possible, so thank you!

Kittens and adult cats were purring softly as they were welcomed by volunteers and staff and receiving shelters. Meanwhile, the dogs were wagging their tails and barking with excitement as they were greeted by staff.

They are all settling in at their new shelters and will soon be available for adoption.

Progressive Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), one of the receiving shelters in Washington, shared the newly added dogs with their followers and told them to check back soon to learn more.

Your donations not only helped save the lives of the animal passengers but also helped the sending shelters. The overcrowded shelters impacted by the devastating wildfires earlier this year can breathe a little easier with less animals to care for.

Overcrowding is the new normal at many animal shelters. Join us in saving homeless animals by flying dozens to freedom every month. Donate today to help fund our July flight. Every dollar helps!
