We are Harsh and Alka Gupta, a mother and son duo from Kolkata, known as the city of joy.

We are creative, love fashion and take inspiration from everyday basics to Italian high fashion and trends.

"My father, who knew a lot about leather, taught me his technique and uses,” says Harsh.

"As with other ventures, we have had difficult moments. At first, it was confusing and we made many mistakes. Learning the small details of crafting wallets and handbags was harder than we anticipated, but we're slowly trying to master this art.

"We work together with a team of artisans who make leather handbags, clutches and wallets. We design the bags and they craft them, and we work as a team to achieve the desired result.

"Tanning the leather and then transforming it into a bag or wallet is something we enjoy. The steps required to make the individual parts are very challenging. There are always natural variations in the hide.

"Alka takes care of the administration while I look after daily operations in the workshop.

"We have exhibited our work in private exhibitions in Kolkata, Italy and Hong Kong, and would love to see our designs being appreciated around the world."
