Rocky is loving his new blanket and collar! Tulsa Day Center’s pet-friendly shelter model ensures that individuals experiencing homelessness can access safety and services without being separated from their companion animals. Pet supply donations strengthen this approach by providing essential items that help clients care for their pets while navigating daily life in shelter.

G.C. is a woman in her late 20s who came to TDC while seeking safety from domestic violence in her encampment and was able to enter shelter with her dog, Rocky. For G.C., remaining with Rocky is essential, as he provides consistent emotional support and helps her manage the effects of past trauma. Small but important resources like these help reduce daily stressors and support consistent engagement in services. They also reinforce the value of TDC’s pet-friendly approach by ensuring clients have what they need to sustain care for their animals while working toward long-term stability.

Miley Cyrus, a 1-year-old Carolina dog, came to HSPPR as a stray. She was very nervous after she first arrived. With behavior support and a new blanket to keep her comfy and secure, she blossomed into a happy, social girl who no longer hid at the back of her kennel, and she found a new home. HSPPR staff and animals were so excited to receive all of the items donated and put them into action around the shelters in Colorado Springs and Pueblo.

This sweet little pup received care and got to go to his new home with some goodies that he loved. The Austin Animal Center is grateful for all the items sent to them.

Biggie went to Souixland Animal Rescue and became a polite, socialized dog. He loved playing with his toys in playgroups with other dogs and had lots of time with humans to help be a friendly boy. He is now adopted and his owners love him very much.
