I work in a hospital, and hate to throw a mask a day in the landfill. So I wear my own and wash them daily.
This mask is PERFECT! Fits nicely, and even more, has breathing room so the cloth doesn’t stay right on your face. Just got the 2 I ordered. I’m placing another order right now. This is my new favorite! If we will wear masks forever, at least I’ll be comfortable!
Research shows a double layer, quilt-quality-cotton mask to be the most effective non-medical mask. The quality and relative comfort of these masks makes them worth a possible bit of extra attention in the beginning. These masks are medium size if we are talking ear-to-ear. Some reviewers of masks by the same maker say they are too big. They must be referring to the quantity of fabric top to bottom. If you find this a problem, simply stretch the mask flat and iron the "pleats" firmly into place. Now you can control how far you open up the mask. Spread top and bottom, allowing the more central area to stay pleated. Easy. You might need to repeat ironing after each of the fist few washings. Soon the fabric will conform enough you can reinforce the pleats by merely running your hand across the flattened mask a few times before wearing. I didn't need to do any of this. I only experimented to find a solution.
I bought the yellow floral because it was pretty and made in the USA. The mask is too small and the binding not sewn well.
