Cuervo is a purpose-driven fair trade artisan jewelry brand, working with hundreds of artisans in Central Mexico, to improve their lives and create sustainable jewelry.
Cuervo was established in 1982, and is a small team spanning multiple communities across Mexico. They follow the fair trade principals providing a fair wage, transparency, and safe working conditions and are proud of their affiliation with the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).
In 1994, Gustavo González started working in a small workshop where Cuervo designs were produced. After two years of learning and producing, Gustavo started his own workshop at his parents’ house. Now twenty-eight years later, he is in charge of producing all the prototypes, training, and quality control. "Cuervo has provided me with tools to work with. I was able to better my house and support my children in their study." -Gustavo Gonzále

I purchased this ring to keep my wonderful older sister close to my heart. She was a beautiful spirit and I was lucky to know her for 63 years. I will miss her every day and this ring will help me keep her in my heart for ever.
My little sister is a nurse. We were able to request her to take care of our dad when he was in a nursing home (not always easy to arrange) and she was about the only one he'd let take care of him, even when he didn't know her. She's been working with other seniors since the pandemic began, and nurses have been in short supply. She takes care of some of the most vulnerable, most valued, and most underrated, people in our world, and for that I hold her in higher regard than she thinks I deserve.
She's also one heck of a mom. Her middle child, my niece, is a war veteran; when I woke up one morning and randomly decided that I needed to get J. and our other sisters "sister" jewelry, I started here. I knew I wanted to get J. a ring, and knew that purchases here will help toward veteran services.
Incidentally, I'm the best sister in the world. J. is in love with her ring.
The image implies that this is one set of two rings. WRONG! It is one single ring. AND the metal turned my finger black. Not something I will repeat in the near future.
