Cuervo is a purpose-driven fair trade artisan jewelry brand, working with hundreds of artisans in Central Mexico, to improve their lives and create sustainable jewelry.
Cuervo was established in 1982, and is a small team spanning multiple communities across Mexico. They follow the fair trade principals providing a fair wage, transparency, and safe working conditions and are proud of their affiliation with the World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO).
In 1994, Gustavo González started working in a small workshop where Cuervo designs were produced. After two years of learning and producing, Gustavo started his own workshop at his parents’ house. Now twenty-eight years later, he is in charge of producing all the prototypes, training, and quality control. "Cuervo has provided me with tools to work with. I was able to better my house and support my children in their study." -Gustavo Gonzále
