This poor dog is just one of over 300 pets who was rescued from a facility in LA County found to be in violation of animal welfare laws. The stench radiating from the building was horrible, and pets were likely living in overcrowded conditions and their own filth.
Once being rescued, she was immediately taken to a veterinarian to be assessed. They determined she has open sores from a mammary mass that have been untreated and was given x-rays and medication to treat the sores. She is severely underweight and has arthritis, likely from limited movement. Her coat is heavily matted and stained with feces and urine, indicating she was living in her own filth. She also has severe dental disease and gingivitis.
Despite her condition, she is sweet, friendly, and wants nothing more than to be held and dotted on. She urgently needs care to treat her open sores, arthritis, and gingivitis.
You can help this pup and the 300 other pets rescued from deplorable conditions get the treatment they need to trust again. Right now, your gift will be matched, up to $10,000, thanks to the Summerlee, Annie Lee Roberts fund.
