For a woman, a handbag to complement her day-to-day look is of vital importance. This is precisely what led me to design and craft them. A purse can be the perfect accessory for a woman's elegance.

It was tough when my daughter was diagnosed with diabetes, and I became depressed. Yet that was when I began to find inspiration. How could I create an elegant handbag that shows our Mexican traditions and is also eco-friendly?

"In Mexico some time ago, it was very common to see homemakers with a lovely, reusable shopping bag when she'd go to the market. And this led me to choose a recycled material to revive this lovely tradition.

"And I realized these bags could become a complement to our outfits. On day, a good friend who is a designer taught me the details of leatherwork and how to enhance each design. So we began working together with two others who helped us weave.

"I remember that, at first, we gave away some of our bags so people would begin talking about how they liked our designs. Today, we give work to homemakers and single mothers who want to work from home.

"Each of our bags is inspired in Mexico's traditions, such as accents in Talavera-style ceramics, and our vibrant colors combined with color trends. But my greatest inspiration is my family. They have given me the strength to continue growing and innovating in the art that is my passion."
