Help protect injured birds displaced by hurricanes by restoring their sanctuary.
The Seaside Seabird Sanctuary was left nearly unrecognizable in the wake of back to back hurricanes. Their once-thriving refuge for injured and birds was overwhelmed by storm surge, flooding their facilities and damaging critical enclosures. For weeks, dedicated staff and volunteers worked tirelessly to clear debris and begin the long road to recovery.
As the only licensed rehabilitation facility in the area, Seaside Seabird Sanctuary cares for thousands of birds a year, providing them with the treatment they need to heal. Their team has worked tirelessly to repair some of the raptor enclosures but critical spaces—including seabird enclosures, rehabilitation areas, and protective fencing—remain in dire need of repair.
Greater Good Charities is stepping in to help restore Seaside Seabird's facility, ensuring that the birds who depend on it have a safe place to recover, as well as provide ongoing supplies to support this essential sanctuary. This will allow Seaside Seabird to resume their care of more than 80 permanently injured birds.
With your help, the sanctuary can rebuild stronger than before, giving these birds the second chance they deserve. Join this effort to restore a safe haven for Florida’s wildlife!
