Poor six-year-old Lucky was rescued from death's door after getting caught in the crossfire of a violent altercation between two people. He had been shot in the chest and abdomen.

At the hospital, Lucky needed an emergency blood transfusion. Even once stabilized, he refused to eat and continued to vomit dark fluid. Doctors determined that Lucky was suffering from gastrointestinal bleeding and a loss of intestinal mobility.
