Billions of Bees Are Dying. Here's How You Can Help.
One out of every three bites of food in the United States depends on bees. Without their pollination, much of our food supply would be lost. From almonds to avocados, blueberries to broccoli, bees pollinate the crops we eat every day. And their hard work is incredibly valuable; generating $15-20 billion annually for U.S. agriculture.

Whether from habitat loss, pesticides, or invasive pests, some commercial beekeepers have lost 70 to 100% of their colonies. The apiary industry is calling it the worst die-off in U.S. history.
Natural disasters can also have devastating effects — destroying crops and leaving pollinators struggling to find food. In the wake of hurricanes, wildfires, or droughts, and other disasters, beekeepers face a critical challenge: ensuring their hives have enough food to recover.
Our partner, Greater Good Charities, is taking a two-pronged approach to give bees a fighting chance. First, they are rewilding prairie land with native wildflowers, giving pollinators like bees and butterflies the flowers and native plants they need to survive. Too many once wild areas have been bulldozed and no longer provide the food bees need. Second, Greater Good Charities provides emergency bee pollen substitute to beekeepers to sustain their hives through natural disasters. So far, they’ve supplied tens of thousands of gallons of syrup and pollen substitute, feeding billions of bees and helping pollinators get back to work.
A donation today puts food in hives that are starving right now — and keeps our food system from losing the pollinators it can't survive without.
