Skye was brought into the shelter with a limp in one of her hind legs. During her physical, staff observed pain and decreased range of motion in her hip bone. She was brought to the veterinary hospital for further observation and x-rays.
At the vet, x-rays showed Skye was suffering from a fracture in her left femur. Ultimately, doctors determined she would need surgery to heal from her fracture. Sweet Skye will undergo a femoral head ostectomy to relieve the pain in her hind leg and restore hip mobility.
Skye is expected to make a full recovery and has already found a foster family to care for her through the recovery process, but she still needs help to continue her care. Will you help Skye get the treatment she needs to heal?
