URGENT: Injured pets continue to arrive in need of emergency care.
The recent wildfires in Greece have left devastation in their wake — displacing communities and destroying habitats with no end in sight.
The human toll is profound, but pets are also suffering immensely. Many shelters have reported an influx of pets who've been found with severe burns and other life-threatening conditions. Now, these pets require immediate medical intervention to prevent further pain.
That's why our partner, Greater Good Charities, is working with local partners to provide medical care for pets injured in the wildfires. Their partner received an urgent call about an injured dog, named Markos, who was found with severely burned paws and extremely dehydrated. After receiving fluids and urgent care, he immediately improved. He was stabilized, treated with antibiotics, and transferred to a local rescue for continued recovery.
