Boyana was found in a village near Dobrich with a large tumor-like mass on the lower part of her stomach. When the shelter received a call about an injured dog in the area, they rushed to pick her up.

Boyana was rushed to a vet clinic where it was discovered that the large mass on her stomach was a hernia. In her case, this was a life threatening condition due to the fact that a strangulated hernia could lead to severe inflammation, sepsis and damage to her internal organs. She urgently needs to have the hernia surgically removed.
